"Experience the Word of God, in the power of the Spirit."

This entry is part 2 of 4 in the series Divine Favor Series

I’m believing the Lord for 2015 to be the year of divine favor. How about you?
I challenge you to read this post with fresh expectation and hunger.

God is glorified through people who are hungry for His presence. [tweet this]. He is not moved by your experience, your family name or how many years you’ve been attending your church. If you are not hungry for God, He cannot anoint you. His anointing flows to those that revere Him and seek His face.

The Time of Favor is Provoked by 2 Things:

See Psalm 102:13 ESV “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; it is the time to favor her; the appointed time has come.”

1- God will arise

2- God will have mercy

There are some things that happen when God arises – “God shall arise and His enemy shall be scattered” (Psalm 68:1).

This leads us to the question: Who are the enemies of God? The enemies of God’s children are the enemies of God.

When Paul was persecuting the disciples of Jesus, God met with him. Paul asked “Who are you Lord?” And Jesus said: I am Jesus the one whom you are persecuting. (Acts 9:1-5). Notice Jesus didn’t say “You are persecuting my disciples”, He said, “You are persecuting Me.”

When somebody touches you, they touch the apple of God’s eye. When you stand with God, touching you will be trying to touch God. [tweet this]

This year I declare, those that fight you will fight against God.

All you need to do is fall in love with Jesus. When He becomes the Lord of your life, that person who is coming against you will be coming against the Lord Himself.

What we must do to receive God’s favor this year

Here is Jesus declaring the year of favour in Luke 4:18-19 ESV “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

1. Acknowledge the Holy Spirit

Our churches will go nowhere if we don’t understand the first few words from the above scripture, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me.”

Even our Lord Jesus did not do anything on this planet without the help of the Holy Spirit. [tweet this]. Sadly, there are churches that function without the Holy Spirit – the ministry is doing good things but it is still not carrying the presence of God. [/tweet_quote]A church without the Holy Spirit is a lifeless church.[/tweet_quote]

Going forward in 2015, if you want to see a breakthrough in your life, more than anything else, you must understand the roar of the Holy Spirit who lives in you.

2. Proclaim the Good News

Once again, from the scripture of Luke, “God appointed them to proclaim the good news.” A church that does now share the good news is a dead church. If it does not reproduce it is dead.

God is calling each of you to be the light – that’s what brings deliverance ministry back in the church, and that’s what breaks chains. If you are not willing to share the good news of Jesus, there is no reason why you have to see the chains break.

If church is all about you then you don’t need to see the hand of God in action, but if you want the Gentiles to see Christ then they must see the hand of God that moves even today.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will share the good news. When you share His heart, God will confirm His Word with signs and wonders. When you proclaim about Him, He will manifest His glory to prove that He is the same today, yesterday and forever. [tweet this]

All you need to do is step out of your comfort zone. Tell people Jesus heals. Tell them that Jesus is alive.

3. Worship Without Shame

God is looking for unashamed worshipers. [tweet this] Another place God arose is when Paul and Silas were in the prison. They had chains on their bodies but praise in their mouths. At midnight they were praying and singing hymns to God. (Acts 16:25-34).

They were supposed to shut up and be nice Christians but that night they decided that they would be radical believers.

You can have chains on your hands and be a prisoner, or be singing and praising in the chains and be a worshiper!

Paul and Silas were worshipers. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, all the doors were open, and all chains unfastened.

When it was their darkest moment, they began to sing God’s praises. They began to worship God like nothing happened. They believed in the Lord Jesus & worshipped Him even in the prison, and He arose for them.

Today there are people that are ashamed to worship in the church. We don’t worship, we only sing and clap nicely, so much so that not even a fly would be hurt by that and so the devil is comfortable in the church. Remember only an act of unashamed worship brings the fire of God into our churches. [tweet this]

Real worship reaches the heavens. [tweet this]

In This Year of Favor:

You may be imprisoned and the enemy may come after you. But Favor will break those chains and will set the captives free! Your very enemies will turn and serve you!

They will throw you into the lions’ den, but the lions will not harm you. The Lord will turn the lions into lambs.

Take heed children of God, because this year He will arise for His children and will shower His mercy on us.

God will arise because it is your time, “You will arise and have pity on Zion; it is the time to favor her; the appointed time has come.” (Psalm 102:13).

Replace your name with Zion because it is your time to rise up!
